Everything Study GRC does is powered by volunteers. If you care about making GRC knowledge accessible, there’s a place for you here. You do not need a GRC background to contribute. Five hours a month or fifty — either way, you can make a difference.

Study GRC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic. Everyone is welcome.

How It Works

The process is simple — and we’re here to help at every step.

  1. Sign up as a member. Create your free Study GRC member account (opens in new tab) on NeonOne. It takes a few minutes.
  2. Browse volunteer opportunities. Once you’re signed up, view the volunteer form (opens in new tab) to see what roles are available — moderation, speaking, content creation, technical work, event support, and more.
  3. Apply for a role that fits you. Pick something that matches your interests and availability. No experience is required for most roles — enthusiasm and willingness to learn matter more.
  4. Let’s have a coffee chat. We’ll set up a casual 1:1 to get to know each other, answer your questions, and make sure it feels like a good fit on both sides.
  5. Start with a trial period. Every volunteer begins with a low-pressure trial run. You’ll have support the whole way — we want you to succeed and enjoy the work.

Volunteer Protections

Study GRC volunteers are protected under the Texas Charitable Immunity and Liability Act and the federal Volunteer Protection Act of 1997:

  • Volunteers acting in good faith and within the scope of their role are generally protected from civil liability
  • This protection does not extend to willful misconduct or gross negligence
  • Volunteers are not employees or agents of Study GRC and cannot enter into agreements on our behalf
