How to Submit a Takedown Notice

If you believe content on our services infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent that includes:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature (or that of someone authorized to act for you)
  2. The copyrighted work you believe was infringed
  3. The URL or location of the allegedly infringing material on our site
  4. Your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf

We respond promptly to valid notices and may remove or disable access to the material.

Fair Use

Some of our educational content includes excerpts, screenshots, or references to third-party materials for commentary, criticism, teaching, scholarship, or research. We believe these uses are fair use under 17 U.S.C. § 107. If you think we’ve crossed that line, please contact us first — we’d rather work it out directly than start with a formal notice.

Counter-Notification

If your content was removed in error, you can submit a counter-notification that includes:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. The material that was removed and where it appeared
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, mailing address, and phone number
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the Western District of Texas (or, if outside the U.S., any judicial district where Study GRC may be found), and that you’ll accept service from the person who submitted the original notice

If the counter-notification is valid, we’ll restore the material after 10–14 business days, as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g), unless the copyright owner files a legal action.

Repeat Infringers

We will terminate access for users determined to be repeat infringers when appropriate.

Standard Technical Measures

We do not interfere with standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify or protect their work, as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(i)(1)(B). If you think we are, please reach out.
